by ryan moosy

The spa at west end is owned and poorly managed by a witch named stacy colture, i feel very sorry for the poor staff that has to work for her, and especially her son that is im sure abused by her, she has hit one of her staff before and made to do community service . She has a serious mental bi polar disorder, so please g ville find another spa to go to.

The Worse Spa Ever!!

by Tonya20

I guess you don't have to walk in the door of this spa to be treated horribly. I recieved a gift card from my mother in law for a pre natal massage. At West End you have to request an appointment 3 days ahead of time. So I did but they called me and explained I couldn't get it on that day because they weren't opened that late which is reasonable. She then told me that I could get it on Wednesday which was fine with me. She asked me for the reference # which I gave her.( I'm 35 weeks pregnant I was thinking I could wait an extra day.) So she told me she would see me then I said ok thanks. So the weekend past and so it was Wednesday at 7:30 pm when my fiance was like weren't you suppose to get your massage today I was like omg I can't believe I forgot. It had been a long and busy day at work and I had pregnancy brain. So i figured everything would be fine I called the salon to reschedule. Well the technician told me there was nothing she could do that I would still be charged for it and that she couldn't give me a refund because she was just a technician but my gift certificate was useless now because she had the reference # and charged me for it. She also told me that this should have been explained to me when I made my appointment. I told her that I have never heard of this cancellation policy ever and that it was never explained to me. She told me she would have the owner contact me the next day. Well when I told my mother in law about this awful treatment to deprive a pregnant woman of a massage she was very upset. So the next day she calls and speaks with the technician that scheduled my appointment. The tech. tells her that I'm lieing because she was the one who scheduled my appointment and she knows that she explained to me the policy. My mother in law told her she didn't and that it was never explained to her either and she's the one who bought the gift certificate. So she told my mother in law she would have the owner Stacy contact her. Well shortly after she gets off the phone Stacy calls me. This is what she had to say " Hey this is Stacy from West End Spa sorry I had some things I had to take care of this morning and I'm now on the road with my son and was returning some phone calls." and I figured she was going to go on but no she acted as if my situation was never explained to her. Who calls someone to handle a complaint but doesn't know what it's about. Hmmmm doesn't sound right to me.. But I decided to go on to tell her what my problem was. Well while I was in the middle of explaining everything to her she cuts me off. Which upset me first she doesn't have a clue what she's calling me for then she won't even hear my full story. Well she goes on to tell me that her technicians get paid commession and that if everyone was a careless as me and forgot about their appointments they would have starving technicians. She also said that they have this policy so that the best availble technician performs the massage. Well I simply stated to her that I had contacted other spas and they informed me that they wouldn't take a pre natal massage from a pregnant women. Well apparently that didn't settle over well with Stacy because she then begins yelling, screaming, and cussing me out. She states that she was going to let me still get my massage but not now that I'm being a smartas* she isn't giving me anything. Well she continues cussing me out and then hangs up the phone. I sure would love to hear what her son thought about his mom going absolutely balistic on a pregnant lady.. This is unexceptable and riduculous behavior from a spa all I wanted was a freakon back massage. I would not recommend any one here. My mother in law went and purchased me a gift certificate to another spa in the area.

HORRIBLE HAIRCUT!!!!!!

by lizzylou4589

I have been to Spa at West End several times for massages and have always been pleased. I received a gift certificate and decided to use it for a haircut..BIG MISTAKE!! I called on a Thursday to schedule the appointment and was hung up on. I called back the following day and was able to schedule the appointment. I arrived at the salon and was told to go upstairs with very little direction given. It was evident that the stylist was new, but I had no idea how horrible she would be. It took 15 minutes to explain that I wanted a shoulder length trim with texturized ends. There were not any magazines for me to show her a picture so I had to use my phone and eventually my driver's license. She cut WAY too much off of the length and i now have a jagged, jaw length hack job. It is uneven unflattering. She did not have any clue how to blow dry or style my hair and left it mostly damp. I expressed my dismay at the counter and was not asked to pay. However, that doesn't account for the $60 I'll have to spend at my regular salon to get it fixed. HORRIBLE SALON!!

inferior service

by fine designs

I visited this salon in June. I arrived with shoulder length blong hair. I asked for the basic color to remain the same with a few more low lights than I currently had. I asked also that my hair be trimmed to the middle of my neck. I left there with solid brown hair that was cut up to my ears. I told the stylist that I was unhappy and that I now resembled the little Dutch Boy. No apology was offered. This was a gift from my daughter and had already been paid, otherwise I would not have paid for it . Two times I emailed Stacy, the owner, who ignored both of my emails. I actually made several comments on the Facebook page for this spa, but the remarks kept disappearing. Finally Stacy contacted my daughter and gave the inpression that she was upset and promised that she would make arrangements to have my color redone by another stylist when I was back in Greenville. However when the time came that I would be back in town, Stacy would not return my calls. And by that time it was to late to challenge the credit card charges.

HORRIBLE

by PetesGal

Do NOT go here for a haircut!! I can not speak for the other spa services but the hair cut I received was a hack job! I had an appointment for color and cut. The color turned out just ok. I'm not sure why we had a good 10 minute consultation about what I wanted when I did not get what I asked for. It was actually very simple...I wanted the same color as I had and I just wanted a trim but staying with the same cut. She took 10 minutes to cut my hair! It looks like maybe it was her first hair cut ever. There is no style left. I had to go to another salon and get it cut super short to fix it. Did I mention the stylist was not even friendly? While my hair processed she left me sitting there alone the whole time. Now I think about it...hmmm. wonder now why I was the only person in the salon! She did ask if I wanted something to drink and I said yes...she never did bring it to me. I will say the receptionist was super friendly but unfortunately that is the only positive thing I can say about the experience. If you want a good hair cut GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! P.S. The stylist name was Jennifer.
