My mom and I had manicures at the Spa at West End nearly 7 months ago, and since then, both of us have had serious trouble with our nails peeling and breaking. I have no doubt that this damage is from our manicures since neither of us has had this problem before and since we live in different cities. I contacted the spa about this issue just over a month ago, but they have not even acknowledged my complaint. Very disappointed.
HORRIBLE HAIRCUT!!!!!!. I have been to Spa at West End several times for massages and have always been pleased. I received a gift certificate and decided to use it for a haircut..BIG MISTAKE!! I called on a Thursday to schedule the appointment and was hung up on. I called back the following day and was able to schedule the appointment. I arrived at the salon and was told to go upstairs with very little direction given. It was evident that the stylist was new, but I had no idea how horrible she would be. It took 15 minutes to explain that I wanted a shoulder length trim with texturized ends. There were not any magazines for me to show her a picture so I had to use my phone and eventually my driver's license. She cut WAY too much off of the length and i now have a jagged, jaw length hack job. It is uneven unflattering. She did not have any clue how to blow dry or style my hair and left it mostly damp. I expressed my dismay at the counter and was not asked to pay. However, that doesn't account for the $60 I'll have to spend at my regular salon to get it fixed. HORRIBLE SALON!!
inferior service. I visited this salon in June. I arrived with shoulder length blong hair. I asked for the basic color to remain the same with a few more low lights than I currently had. I asked also that my hair be trimmed to the middle of my neck. I left there with solid brown hair that was cut up to my ears. I told the stylist that I was unhappy and that I now resembled the little Dutch Boy. No apology was offered. This was a gift from my daughter and had already been paid, otherwise I would not have paid for it . Two times I emailed Stacy, the owner, who ignored both of my emails. I actually made several comments on the Facebook page for this spa, but the remarks kept disappearing. Finally Stacy contacted my daughter and gave the inpression that she was upset and promised that she would make arrangements to have my color redone by another stylist when I was back in Greenville. However when the time came that I would be back in town, Stacy would not return my calls. And by that time it was to late to challenge the credit card charges.
HORRIBLE. Do NOT go here for a haircut!! I can not speak for the other spa services but the hair cut I received was a hack job! I had an appointment for color and cut. The color turned out just ok. I'm not sure why we had a good 10 minute consultation about what I wanted when I did not get what I asked for. It was actually very simple...I wanted the same color as I had and I just wanted a trim but staying with the same cut. She took 10 minutes to cut my hair! It looks like maybe it was her first hair cut ever. There is no style left. I had to go to another salon and get it cut super short to fix it. Did I mention the stylist was not even friendly? While my hair processed she left me sitting there alone the whole time. Now I think about it...hmmm. wonder now why I was the only person in the salon! She did ask if I wanted something to drink and I said yes...she never did bring it to me. I will say the receptionist was super friendly but unfortunately that is the only positive thing I can say about the experience. If you want a good hair cut GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! P.S. The stylist name was Jennifer.
Poor customer service. For the price, you should be treated like royalty, but that 's not the case. I had an appt scheduled far in advance and when I showed up I was told by the front desk that someone visiting from Atlanta had walked in and, since they wanted to accomodate her, put her in my spot. I waited for a while, got frustrated and asked for my money back. I expected an apology at least and a token gift at best, but got neither. They could - and for these prices, should - do better.
Average at best. I'm not a big fan of the spa. The masseuses are very good and do a good job, but you have to overlook the rest of the service which is below average. The changing area is very sub par. The 2 or 3 times I have gone there, I have had to ask for towels and the products for the shower and steam room are usually out. It is cramped and not overally clean. If you just go for a massage and change in your treatment room you'll really like this place, but if you want the full experience, you will definitely leave disappointed.
Don't get your hair done here!!!. I went to this spa to get my hair Japanese straightened since I hear d of the rave reviews of the spa part of the place. The hair stylist was named David Perry and he was very nice. Unfortunately my hair was straight for three days until we did the deep conditioning wash. Then back to completely curly. David said hmmmmmm maybe we need to use a stronger version of the Japanese straightening. Second time around, same thing happened except now my hair has split ends and is course. So they do it a third time because they tell me I was using the wrong hair products to wash my hair with. Same thing happened afterwards even with their own products. These sessions take four hours long to do and each time they damage the hair the process also cost me $480. I am getting really frustrated since they refuse to give me a refund ,but say they will keep on offering me the straigtening until my hair is straight (more like I will go bald).I will not go there again.
dont get a microderm here!. ive heard this place is great from a lot of people, but they had no idea what theywere doing for this..big waste of money.
Amazing Services, Outstanding Staff.
I have had the pleasure of visiting The Spa at West End several times when I am in town, and I absolutely love it! The girls at the desk are bright and chipper, and always welcome me. I love that they will give me the option of changing into a robe and slippers---I feel like they know what I'm coming in for, and if it's just a quick service I like that they know this ahead of time.
The facility is beautiful and very clean. The staff is extremely accomodating, and everyone who passes me by always offers me something to drink, something to eat, or just checks in to make sure I am okay. I guess for some this might seem a bit over the top, but I enjoy it because it shows they are extremely attentive.
The services are world-class: I've had the pleasure of visiting several spa's in South Florida and by far these services are equal, if not better than those at the larger resorts and destination spas. My first time visiting the staff asked me if I have had services anywhere before and I said yes, and they asked me what I was hoping to achieve with my visit to them (they gave examples of relaxation, stress release, pain, lifestyle adjustment, things like that).
I will say that it was busy on the one weekend visit I had there! The lobby was full of customers, but once I was escorted back to the locker facility I entered into a whole other world. I enjoy the layout of the facility as well, and they have a spiral staircase which is a wonderful surprise.
Overall, a 5-star facility. I think The Spa at West End is a gem in South Carolina!!
A wonderfull Experience.. The West End Spa was beautifull. The staff was the friedliest. everyone was very Professional. It is located in the Historic West End District that is a must see when in Greenville. I was refered by the Hotel I was staying at (Westin) and they did not dissapoint. PS. I also recommend the Westin Hotel..
