The most horrible boss in my life

I worked there, Mimi was the most horrible person I have seen. cursing us out around with word"fukcing" is not even news, gave us a speech said" I gave u guys a job so your kids don't starve, you should appreciate this, if my restaurant close down tomorrow ,I will be fine, and everyone of you will lose the job, none of u can get hired by any restaurant out there, you should be grateful, I don't see any of you are being grateful....

She taught me the word" niggger" when I first got no tip from one of my black customer. She yelled us like dogs "get the fukcing up to clean the floor" she made a lot of waitress cried by calling them useless, stupid, always with the "f"word too.

I was a server, I worked 85 hours in 10 days, and overall I made 340 dollars, why? First, we split half of our tips with chefs ，5% with buster, so we get 45% of our tips overall. And not everyone tipped.

She never told me anything about the salary on my interview, just said come work 2weeks first, maybe I don't like you or you don't like the job, so when I went ask about it after a week, she said: " you want get paid ,bring me your paperworks( I just moved here, my employee authorization is processing, but there is no way I couldn't get it,it's just takes 3 months to get and I told her that at the beginning) " how many days have you worked, and you started to ask about money? " I asked: so you are saying I don't get nothing besides my tips? She said yes.

I quit 2days later, I was making 3 dollars per hour since we get 45% of our tips, and we have to stand a person doesn't know how to respect her employees, I had to quit.

So when I quit,I said I was coming down to get my last paycheck, she said bring your paperworks. When I brought my social security card, my receipt of employee authorization application, she was surprised , obliviously she thought I didn't have anything, she even thought I wasn't legally married. She paid me 2.13 dollars per hour later, but it was only 40 hours on my check, I worked 85 hours in 10 day, and 2 of them was training,2 of them I was working as cocktail, I made no tips. I asked her why is it only 40 hours ,she said that's how many the computer said, and she cut my questioning said" you were worthless to me ok?" then just walked away...

If the restaurant won't change owner, I swear I will never eat there again, or recommend anyone to go, it is real hell!

Rude People, Nasty Food, For Real.

They reduced me to Begging for beer after ignoring me and my party for 20min at the table forcing me to retrive my groups drink order from the bar. Then 30 minutes later no soup, no salad and no chef. Never again.

two dollar blue moons!?!!?!?!?! what whaaat!?

man. this place is off the chain.

i been here countless times and this place aint never let me down. one of, if not the best, place to get sushi in this town. also one of the cheapest sushi in town. whoever said this place was expensive is probably used to getting their sushi at harris teeter.

anyway they got a good selection of sushi, great sushi chef, hot sushi waitress (most of the time), and they also do custom sushi so i like to throw everything into my sushi. if you go definitely try the kacy's roll and the megan's roll. crazy good.

their hibachi is also less expensive than the other hibachi places. not to mention the hibachi is way better.

chefs actually KNOW what they're doing. they're funny, they put on a great show. my kids love it. servers are nice and attentive and quick.

mimi is real nice too AND she gives out free sake!! on occasion. but i've always been lucky enough to show up on those occasions.

the bar is cool too. cheap beer. cheaper draft beer. knowledgable good looking bartender. if you get a cocktail drink then your glass is significantly bigger than just about every other restaurant. just in case nobody's noticed.

one of the servers recommended me a southern comfort and pineapple and its phenomenal so yall need to check that out.

overall this is a great place to eat, celebrate birthdays, just a great place period. other than having to wait an extra twenty minutes to get sat but is all worth it in the end.

the only two things i have to complain about is seeing people dump thousands of pounds of that white sauce/shrimp sauce on all of their food. makes me vomit. and they dont have pabst. :-/

also luckbox is awesome and funny.

hair in my food

I have ate lunch in the dining room at Mimi's before with a large group of my co-workers and we all enjoyed our food, however, today my take out order experience was less than favorable. I picked up 2 lunches from Mimi's for my co-worker and myself, I then drove back to work and after enjoying my soup I opened my lunch and discovered a long black hair intertwined in the chicken. I called Mimi's right away and explained the issue. I was told to bring the meal back and they would prepare a new one. The manager said it was probably her hair and apologized. I then drove back to Mimi's from work and was given a replacement lunch for the one I returned. Again she apologized saying it was probably her hair because she had been in the back working with the boys. She handed me the meal and that was it. I feel that she should have offered some type of refund. I had to leave work and drive back to pick up a hair free meal. I appreciate her saying sorry but after all the driving and losing my appetite I expected a little more customer service. I will not be returning and I will pass on this experience to anyone who asks and to all my co-workers.

Over react much?

Why are people so dumb and self-centered? Of course when they're busy they're going to want you to leave after you've finished, they have to turn the table so they can seat your angry mob friends at the front door that are whining about that wait. And give your server a break. You have one server, they have about ten of you to a table, its not as easy as you may think and your brain can get scattered.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that they get talked about after they leave. You're talking about them aren't you?

Such stuffy people should seriously take a pill. If you want more devoted service, hire a personal chef.
