My community looks horrible...they do nothing but take our money! Imagine getting pressure washed once every four years? Not to mention the sorry landscaping companies they employ...
Finally, how do they spend our monies? Anyone can create a document with expenditures, but without an external audit...no one really knows!

NorCon manages my subdivision for collecting regime fees. They have threatened legal action more than once, even criminal action because the total of my dues was still outstanding. All they care about is the money. Some of us in the neighborhood complained because an uninhabited home was in foreclosure and the grass would grow knee high which reflected poorly on the neighbors property nearby. But all NorCon would say it they couldn't do anything about it. So they did nothing. This was an eyesore for months and months. Rodents and snakes inhabit this kind of deep grass you know. But they don't care. Why didn't someone from their agency get off their duff and just come mow the lawn? And yes they will not sign their letters with a individual's name and they will cc: the Board President but not give the name. They are cowards. And extremely unprofessional in how they handle accounts.

The following is an example of Due Diligence process by a Pro real estate investor that prevented untold misery by avoiding purchase of any Norcon managed property.
On 8/22/08 investor/real estate condo buyer had a unit seller/owner from Commons at Butler, E. Butler Rd., Mauldin, SC 29662 make written request to Norcon for 5 basic Homeowners Association (HOA) accounting financial reports required by GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices). Ronda Downey- Clerical (entry level) at Norcon Property Mgt. Responded on 8/26/08 with only one of 5 requested financial reports. Question was also asked: Provide names & phone numbers for the current Board of Directors. ---“ i cant give that.” (Wrong. Your hiding info that all Owners have right to know.)
On 8/27/08 prospect buyer requested a second time that Rhonda Downey please supply all 5 financial reports to the unit owner & provide Board contact info. Listing Agent from Access Realty was requested to escalate info request to Norcon top management. As of 8/30/08 no reply received from Norcon.
It appears that Norcon is in violation of above stated SC law by refusing to provide unit owner with HOA info. Additionally, Norcon may also be in violation of impeding the sale of real estate, free trade, restraint of trade, impairment to property value via lack of disclosure, failure to perform fiduciary duty & bad faith conduct. Delivering contractual services beyond liens & collections is the Norcon issue. No Sale. Will not buy real estate managed by Norcon! No legal or financial advisement is being offered.
