Tips for Hyatt Regency Greenville

I enjoyed my stay.. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Greenville for 4 days in April 2006. I really liked the downtown location, and the hotel itself its very nice. The lobby area has high skylighted ceilings and there is a jungle with a small creek and waterfall flowing into it from outside, its very relaxing to sit down there. My room was nothing spectacular but it was clean and everything worked, so no genuine complaints there. They did not provide free internet as most hotels do and that was a bit of a let down but there is T-mobile hotspot for $10 per day, but no worries the city of Greenville provides free wireless just outside the door. So overall I enjoyed my stay and would probably stay there again.

Feeling is more like of a motel. Being a Gold Member of Hyatt and stayed in some of their other facilities, this place was a great let down...The rooms are very much SMALL, dark and suffocating...that too they were recently re-modelled!! I would fail to understand why have they done such a pathetic remodelling, the carpet, the bathrooms...YUCK.

I just couldn't believe it was a HYATT.

The only positive of staying there is of being right in the heart of downtown. But I wouldn't mind staying a little away from Downtown for a better hotel experience.

The staff was good but were not too concerned with my complaints of the annoying smell of fresh paint!!! ( a price you pay to stay in newly remodelled rooms which is kind of bad )..

Definetly avoid this Hyatt if you can. You will be better of staying somewhere little away from downtown as Greenville is a pretty small city and travelling shouldn't be that big of an issue for better comfortable stay.

Upscale hotel's comfortable rooms and modern business facilities appeal to both business and leisure travelers.. In Short
Soon after the first Hyatt hotel opened in Los Angeles in 1957, Hyatt hotels and resorts became known for their dramatic atrium lobbies and their ability to express local flavor. Rooms feature beds with Sealy brand mattresses and down comforters, flat-screen TVs with cable access, wireless Internet, iPod-adaptable alarm clock/radios, Starbucks coffee and Portico bath products. Travelers enjoy the convenience of hotel and airline check-in kiosks, fitness facilities, multiple business centers and ample meeting spaces.
