Time for a change of pace.
Always used to go to OG for endless salad bar, atmosphere....but Friday night was the final straw. Dropped off family at front door to start the waiting process while I searched and searched for a parking spot. Burger King next store thought they were smart by putting up a fence but didn't deter the serious parker because even their lot was full.
Decided to leave with my yankee attitude and drove down Laurens Road for Plan B and came upon Capri's of Mauldin. (They were closed for a while but have reopened with new owners). Next time you plan to dine out, Capri's in Mauldin is definitely worth a try.
Fabulous food, easy parking, no wait, great service and, oh did I mention, superior food made with fresh ingredients !!!! Try the cabernet with lasagna and homemade cheesecake. Terrific !

Traditional dishes and all -you-can-eat salad, soup and bread sticks are the draw at this upscale-casual Italian restaurant..
In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.
