Fantastic!!. Excellent dining experience! The service is always top notch: we are always greeted with a smile, the servers are pleasant and courteous, and the food delicious and plentiful. I enjoy trying new things, and they are always very knowledgeable about their food and wine selections. I have been a fan for many years, and it just keeps getting better!!!! Don't confuse this restaurant with other Stax restaurants in the area; this one is owned by the family that started it all so many years ago. It is everything you expect from them, and more! CHECK IT OUT!

Great Dining Experience!. I've been a regular customer over the years, and yet this neighborhood restaurant, accross from Haywood Mall, `just seems to get better with age.

I like being served by a professional waiter as they are here. Two of my favorites are the Athenian Ribs (Yum!) and the Fresh Grouper. Of course a nice bottle of wine with dinner helps complete the meal.

I also like finishing with a snifter of Gran Marnier.

Overrated at best. My husband and I went in for lunch. The hostess greeted us as if we were an inconvenience. Although we saw four open tables, we were shoved to the side and told "at least ten minutes." When we were finally seated, it was on the upper level by the server station. From there, we were able to witness disgruntled servers scooping ice out of the ice bin with pitchers and glasses. Our server was sweet, but neglected to tell us the specials. It was only after we ordered that we heard of a delicious French Dip, as she told another table about it. Our food was served after two other two-tops that ordered behind us, taking about 25 minutes. After that length of time, I expected the chicken on my Caesar Salad to be warm, but alas, it was cold. The chicken seemed to have been cooked off earlier and sliced to order. My husbands ribeye sandwich was covered in the "house special sauce." Upon tasting, the main ingredient was clearly A1.

It was a very disappointing experience indeed.

Stuffiness is the Theme Here.... Of all the "Stax" restaurants, this one falls short the most. The food is average at best, the service is lacking (both in staff, training, and personality); and the prices far outweigh what you receive. This is a place that you would normally not bring your kids; but due to the lack of care the restaurant presents on it's own behalf...it shouldn't matter.
