I LOVE Top Dog! I had never boarded any of my "babies" until I discovered these guys. I absolutely trust Kadi with them. She goes to doggie day care there, gets groomed there and boards there when I have to go out of town and cannot take her. Barbara Lee truly has a GREAT talent for choosing a warm and caring staff and I would NEVER go anywhere else and it distresses me me to read such negative remarks about them. Are you sure you were at the same place I go to? The staff is always warm, welcoming and VERY professional. I have gone there since 2009 and hope they never close their doors. Perhaps you should try contacting Barbara or any of her staff personally and give them a chance to address your concerns instead of being so publicly disrespectful . Obviously none of you work with the public and know how hurtful these things can be. These folks are to be commended for doing such a great service for so little thanks! I love my guys at Top Dog!

Incredibly overpriced for horrible pet care. I love my dogs like children, so to pay a little extra for exceptional care is fine for me. I should have known not to use them when I walked back and saw the kennels. They had a ton of cages crammed in to the building with nothing but concrete flooring. The smell was overwhelmingly bad so it cannot have been very clean. No wonder their website says the only do prearranged tours. I paid extra for both dogs to be bathed, but when I picked them up, the smelled so rank I had to roll the car windows down just to breathe. Did I mention it was pouring rain? Once I made it home I had to bathe them outside (again in the rain) before I could even let them inside the house. The worst part was noticing my lab limping around the house and realizing she had a huge tear in her paw. She could barely walk! Then I stayed up all night with my other dog because he kept getting sick. I did give them a chance to apologize or respond to the issues I had by sending an email through the website but I got NO response at all. Definitely not worth the cost. We will be looking for another place to stay.

Would not reccomend. We kenneled our dogs with Top Dog twice to be sure we were not being too picky. Both times we returned to get our babies, they were sluggish and had no appetite. They had really yellow urine and runny poop. We even chose to bring our own food the second time to prevent this. We are not sure what they did to our dogs both stays but we will not be returning. We found a wonderful kennel that they love and when we return to pick them up, they are cheerful and happy. They run to the staff when we drop them off, and gives them kisses when we pick them up. At Top Dog, our male growls at one staff member and our female who is normally very playful, will shy away from the door of the facility.

KENNEL COUGH BE AWARE. I took my dog to Top Dog for a short stay as I went out of town for a funeral. I picked him up 8/6 and today 8/10 he was diagnosed with KENNEL COUGH. Yes, he has had his bordatella vaccine, but I have found several other reviews with the same complaint. Based on how the diesease is spread, I question the facility, the cleanliness of the place, their policies and their pet handling procedures. Just be aware, this is a problem with this kennel, evidently so much so that now they make you take out a pet policy covering any illness within a week of boarding. Great that they will cover the bill but my dog will now for the rest of his life test positive for Bordetella for the rest of his life, could possibly deal with flare ups and will be more inclined to catch from ANY type of exposure. I will not be a returning customer.
