LOVE IT! Hot DANG I LOVE IT.
This is one of the few places in the surrounding area of Greenville SC that serves real ramen. That's what got me hooked on the place. On Friday nights and Saturdays they are so busy that you need reservations to be guaranteed a table when you come in. This is mainly due to the fact they are really small. For the most part, everyone there seems to be genuinely happy to see you and everyone is really friendly. I only had one bad experience with a rude waitress...but maybe she was in a bad mood. O.o That was also on a day they were really busy so maybe she was stressed.
But anywho, everyone has bad days and it doesn't stop how awesome this place is. TRY IT NOW!!!

Aboslutely Terrible....
I tried this place as it was recommended here and was i disappointed. the fish seems to be a little bad. i did go on a tuesday so maybe they hadn't gotten their new fish in yet. i had one tuna roll and that's all i could muster. asked the chef to check the fish and he said it was fine. would not recommend this to anyone.

Traditional Japanese Cooking, Super Friendly Service, Lunch or Casual Date Night.
I eat here atleast once a week during my lunch hour. I've sampled many Japanese restaurants, most of which have Hybachi tables, but I've have yet to experience simple, japanese cooking until I ate at Sushi Masa. You'll find super courteous service (the japanese way); they greet you on entering and they all wish you well before you leave. You really feel apart of the family.
The food is truely top noch. If you like greesy, westernized asian food, this is NOT the place for you. They cook with delicious traditional japanese ingredients. I'd recommend this place for a luncheon or for a casual, relaxing date night.

If you like exquisite Japanese cuisine....
Among the best Japanese restaurants in the American south. Might very well be the best. Too many high points to know what to single out for praise. I've known people who've traveled hundreds of miles for the white tuna. The sauteed squid, a personal favorite, is superb. Anything from the nightly specials board is sure to please. Prices a bit below average for first-rate Japanese in the US; an extensive and diverse meal for two runs around $50. Unfortunately, the previous reviewer's remarks indicate a certain lack of familiarity with the subject. For anyone who knows Japanese food, Sushi-Masa is way beyond "average". High marks indeed.
